Recording

It involves controlling levels, panning, and dynamics, while using effects such as EQ, compression, saturation, and reverb to create clarity, depth, and impact. The goal of mixing is not just to make every element audible, but to ensure each sound has a purpose and a place, supporting the emotion, energy, and intent of the track so it translates across different listening systems.

RUDE FILMS - Through the Light
Produced, recorded, and mixed in 2025, this EP was captured live to 24-track tape over a single weekend at 80 Hertz Studio in Manchester. The session preserved the band’s dynamic tension and raw live energy, while overdubs of guitars, synths, and vocals added depth and polish.
Rude Films are a Manchester-based alternative rock band known for their distinctive blend of shoegaze, post-punk, and psychedelic influences.
